Today the Kansas House Committee on Federal and State Affairs held a hearing on the first Pro-Life bill of the new legislative session. The Kansas Catholic Conference testified in favor of HB 2035, which in large part consists of Pro-Life bills that have been passed previously by the Legislature — sometimes up to three times — only to be vetoed by past governors.  The bill also contains new language replacing Kansas’s current parental notification requirement with parental consent.
